The Town
of Pinetop Lakeside is firmly committed to the concept

The
Town furnishes all non-trial, full-time employees
with a health savings account medical/dental insurance
plan, which includes hospitalization, accident coverage
and limited life insurance.
An
"Exceptional Employee Award" is given on
a quarterly basis to a selected classified employee(s).
Each year the Town Manager or Town Council select
one of the "Exceptional Employee Award"
employees and honor them as "Employee of the
Year." In addition, a "Department Head and/or
Supervisor of the Year" award is given each year.
The
following days are recognized as holidays and regular
full-time classified employees shall have these days
off with pay: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial
Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving
Day, Christmas
Day, and a floating day within 30 days of the employee's
birthday.
All
regular employees in the classified and unclassified
service with a typical regular work week of forty
hours, shall receive annual vacation with pay at the
following rate:

All regular classified employees 130 Working Hours
with more than five (5) years and less than ten

All regular classified employees 150 Working Hours
with more than ten (10) years and less than
fifteen (15) years continuous service
All regular classified employees 160 Working Hours
with more than fifteen (15) years and less than
twenty (20) years continuous service
All regular classified employees 180 Working Hours
with more than twenty (20) years

Unclassified
Unclassified employees with less 160 Working Hours
than one (1) year continuous service
Unclassified employees with more 170 Working Hours
than one (1) year and less than five (5) years
continuous service
Unclassified employees with more 220 Working Hours
than five (5) years and less than ten (10) years

Unclassified employees with more 250 Working Hours
than ten (10) years and less than fifteen (15)

Sick leave with pay is granted to all
trial and regular employees. Part-time employees receive
sick leave with pay at one-half the normal rate. Regular
employees who have worked at least six months earn
sick leave at a rate of one work day for each calendar
month of service. All classified and unclassified
employees are allowed to use one work day of accrued
sick leave per calendar year for matters of personal
business.
The Town of Pinetop Lakeside seeks to
provide a safe working environment for its employees,
utilizing Occupational Safety and Health Administration
(OSHA) standards as a guide.
The Town has established a drug-free
workplace. All prospective new employees shall undergo
mandatory drug testing prior to the commencement of
work at the expense of the Town.
The Town of Pinetop-Lakeside is on the Arizona State Retirement System.
The Town of Pinetop-Lakeside currently
employees fifty-seven full-time, and eight seasonal, with numerous volunteers. |
