Town Engineer
Andrew J. Romance, PE
 Mr Romance has served as your Town Engineer on an on-call basis since 2007, and began fully focused duty as an employee in January 2013. It is with commitment that he offers his experience to fulfill expectations of an effective Public Works Director and Registered Civil Engineer for the Town of Pinetop-Lakeside.
Andy has worked as a private consulting engineer in all 15 Arizona counties, urban and rural cities and towns alike, directly for multiple State Departments, public utility company support, and master-planning community development. His career has spanned 27 years, from detailed design as an engineer, holding public office as a councilmember, to supervision in business operations. This diversity has resulted in keen development of two essential strengths; Giving high level attention to detail in projects, programs, and relationships; and knowing the value, role, and function of local government.
Having contributed to infrastructure projects from initial planning, completing detailed technical analysis, through final construction, Mr Romance genuinely understands the diversity of stakeholders. Honoring a community’s character, knowledge of regulations, respect for organized groups, and care for citizens, are foundational trademarks of Andy’s service, while concurrently building up the organization of which he serves with technical proficiency and fiscal strength.

The Public Works Department manages Town-owned Buildings, Streets, and Stormwater Facilities, conducting maintenance, rehabilitation, and improvement. The Department is also responsible for processing Right-of-Way Permits and for Snow Removal from streets on public right-of-way within the incorporated Town limits. |
